Book excerpt: 4 gang of teens spread throughout the State, not known to each other, consist of a Drug Dealing Gang, A CarJacking Gang, a Partying Gang of teens, and a Gang of Caucasian teens that smoke angel dust, drink beer and tear up Cemetaries. 85% of each of these gangs get caught at committing crimes they commit, including the leaders of each of these gangs. They all find themselves in Court facing justified or unwarranted sentences. But instead of sentencing them to jail, their lawyers, the prosecutors and the Judges agree to an alternative sentence and stipulates them to participate in a 18 month program called "The Road Back". They all have to follow strict rules and regulations. They all have to maintain, schooling, employment and submit to random drug testing. But through it all, they maintain their agreement and continue on struggling to succeed in a world designed against them.
